The NorthStar Student:
May have attended wilderness/residential or short-term hospital stay treatment programs.
These students have gained insight and resiliency while at treatment and are recommended to a transitional program to assure the support needed to continue on a positive path with family, school and peers. We work closely with wilderness/residential treatment programs to ease student anxiety about the transition home and to NorthStar.
may be struggling at home, in school, and/or with peers.
These students have struggled in traditional outpatient settings and need a more structured therapeutic environment. In addition, they have difficulty being successful with attendance or compliance at school. NorthStar will provide a comprehensive assessment in collaboration with outside/previous treatment providers, schools, etc. in the development of an Individual Positive Development/Treatment Plan.
